About Us
Rick Gord is a founder and owner of RG Plumbing and has more than 30 years of experience in plumbing. A deeply devoted family man and local Utahn, Rick learned the value of hard work at a young age when he started sweeping homes while still in elementary school. His plumbing career began while still a teenager when he learned the trade from his uncle during summers in Idaho. Plumbing, as one might say, runs in his blood as his father and his two uncles were also plumbers.
A graduate of Utah Technical College and former apprentice for Local No. 19 Plumbers and Steamfitters, Rick went on to earn his journeyman's license and worked on a number of high rise buildings in downton Salt Lake City before also working as a pipe fitter on a rural power plant in Delta, Utah and a water plant in Herriman, Utah.
A serial entrepreneur, Rick started a second business called Water Heaters Plus in 1999, but after breaking his neck on a diving trip, he had to close the store. Upon recovery, Rick went back to work in the plumbing business and built a large customer base in the repairs and remodels industry, which is RG Plumbing's expertise.
